Laser showdown: which light therapy zaps facial pain best?

NCT ID NCT07590414

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares two non-invasive laser treatments—high-intensity and low-level—for people with trigeminal neuralgia, a condition causing severe facial pain. About 38 adults who haven't found relief from medication or can't have surgery will receive one of the two laser therapies. Researchers will measure pain levels and quality of life over 12 weeks to see which approach works better.
