First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests a new version of a device called LAmbre II, which is placed inside the heart to close off a small pouch (the left atrial appendage) where blood clots can form in people with atrial fibrillation. The goal is to prevent strokes without needing lifelong blood-thinning medication. Ten participants with non-valvular atrial fibrillation and a high stroke risk will receive the device and be followed for one year to check safety and effectiveness.
