Summary

This study tested if giving children a special drink called lactium before surgery could reduce confusion and agitation when they wake up from anesthesia. 135 children aged 4-7 having their tonsils removed took part. Half got the lactium drink and half got a placebo, and researchers watched how calmly they woke up.
