Summary

This study tested whether giving children a drink called Lactium before surgery could reduce agitation when they wake up from anesthesia. The trial involved 135 children aged 4 to 7 years undergoing tonsil and adenoid removal. Researchers measured agitation levels using a standard scale and also looked at how easily children separated from their parents before surgery.
