New nerve block technique tested to reduce knee surgery pain
NCT ID NCT06470542
Summary
This study compared two different nerve block techniques for managing pain after total knee replacement surgery. Researchers tested these methods in 60 elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis to see which one better reduced pain and opioid painkiller use after surgery. The goal was to find more effective ways to control post-surgical pain while minimizing side effects from strong pain medications.
