Sweet relief? sugar injections tested for aching knees
NCT ID NCT07245121
Summary
This study is testing if adding a simple sugar solution (dextrose) to a standard numbing injection can better relieve chronic pain from knee osteoarthritis. Researchers will compare the sugar-water mix against the numbing medicine alone in 60 adults with persistent knee pain. The goal is to see if this approach provides longer-lasting pain relief and improves daily function.
