New scans could predict which arthritis knees will worsen
NCT ID NCT03294408
Summary
This study tested whether advanced imaging techniques could predict which patients with knee osteoarthritis would experience worsening joint damage over three years. Researchers followed 167 people with painful knee arthritis, using special X-rays and MRI scans to analyze bone texture and structure. The goal was to identify 'fast progressors' who might benefit most from future targeted treatments.
