Video game workouts boost fitness in Pre-Frail seniors

Summary

This study tested whether using a Kinect motion-sensing video game for aerobic exercise could improve fitness and quality of life in pre-frail older adults living in the community. 64 people aged 60 and older who were starting to show signs of frailty took part. The results showed that the Kinect-based program was more effective than traditional exercise at boosting fitness enthusiasm and standardizing exercise habits.
