Summary

This study tested whether a monthly injection called Ziltivekimab could reduce harmful inflammation in people with advanced chronic kidney disease. Researchers enrolled 264 adults with kidney disease and high inflammation levels to compare three different doses of the injection against a placebo dummy treatment over six months. The main goal was to find the best dose for future research and see if the treatment safely lowers specific inflammation markers linked to heart risks.
