Could your own cells help save your kidneys?

NCT ID NCT05018416

Summary

This study tested whether injections of a patient's own processed kidney cells (called REACT) could safely slow the worsening of kidney function in people with diabetes and chronic kidney disease. It involved 53 participants who received up to two injections into their kidneys and were followed for 18 months. The main goals were to see if the treatment was safe and if it could change the rate at which kidney function declined.
