Ketone drink sparks brain activity in early memory loss study
NCT ID NCT06962501
First seen May 13, 2026 ยท Last updated May 13, 2026
Summary
This small pilot study looked at whether a single dose of a ketone supplement could increase blood flow and improve connections between brain regions in older adults with mild cognitive decline. Fifteen participants aged 55 and older with subjective or mild cognitive impairment had MRI scans before and after taking the supplement. The goal was to see if the supplement could help brain networks work better, not to treat or cure the condition.
