Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a single ketone drink could improve brain function in 28 adults with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Participants drank either a ketone drink or a sugary control drink, then had brain wave tests, thinking tasks, and blood draws. The study aimed to see if ketones could help with information processing, mood, and metabolism.
