Could a Low-Carb diet help endometrial cancer patients before surgery?
NCT ID NCT03285152
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a ketogenic diet—a very low-carbohydrate diet that makes the body burn fat for energy—is safe and tolerable for overweight or obese patients with newly diagnosed endometrial cancer before they have surgery. Nineteen participants were enrolled to see if they could stick with the diet and how it affects their body and cancer tissue. The goal is to gather early information, not to treat the cancer directly.
