Summary
This study tested whether adding ketamine or magnesium sulfate to a standard nerve block could reduce pain and the need for morphine after breast cancer surgery. Sixty adults undergoing mastectomy received one of the two add-ons alongside the numbing medication. The main goal was to see how much morphine patients needed in the first two days after surgery.
