Brain scans & ketamine: a new hope for stubborn depression?

NCT ID NCT07247006

Summary

This study is testing whether a few doses of ketamine, given alongside guided therapy sessions, can help people with treatment-resistant depression. Researchers want to see if this combination changes brain activity in ways that reduce depression symptoms and improve emotional flexibility. About 25 participants will receive 1-2 ketamine injections, attend several therapy sessions, and have their brains scanned twice to look for changes.
