Scientists probe Ketamine's brain secrets in depression study

NCT ID NCT05915013

First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how ketamine eases depression by testing a drug called perampanel alongside it. Researchers want to see if blocking certain brain receptors changes ketamine's effects. 50 adults with hard-to-treat depression or PTSD will join. The goal is to understand the brain chemistry, not to find a new treatment.
