Summary
This study looks at how ketamine, a fast-acting antidepressant, works in the brain. Researchers want to see if blocking a specific receptor (AMPA) changes ketamine's effects. About 70 adults with treatment-resistant depression will stay at the clinic for 5 weeks, receive ketamine infusions, and undergo brain scans and tests. The goal is to understand the mechanism, not to test a new treatment.
