Scientists scan brains to unlock Ketamine's depression secret

NCT ID NCT06668571

Summary

This study aims to understand how a single dose of ketamine affects specific brain chemicals in people with depression that hasn't responded to other treatments. Researchers will use MRI brain scans and blood tests to measure changes in chemicals linked to mood, comparing them to changes in depression symptoms. The goal is to learn more about how ketamine works, not to provide a long-term treatment.
