NCT ID NCT07253298

First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding one non-invasive biofeedback session to regular Kegel exercises can improve bowel function, reduce emotional distress, and boost quality of life in people who have had rectal cancer surgery. About 66 participants will either do Kegel exercises alone or Kegel exercises plus a single biofeedback session for eight weeks. The goal is to see if the combined approach offers better relief from common post-surgery bowel problems like urgency and leakage.
