Summary
This study aims to understand if Kangaroo Care—holding a baby skin-to-skin—affects the amount and nutritional quality of breast milk for parents with infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Researchers are observing 25 parent-infant pairs to measure changes in milk calories, fat, protein, and volume after these holding sessions. The study also gathers feedback from parents and healthcare providers about their experiences with scheduled Kangaroo Care visits.
