Hidden jump imbalance may raise Re-Injury risk after ACL surgery

NCT ID NCT07448064

First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looked at how people produce force during a vertical jump about six months after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Researchers compared 100 participants — half who had ACL surgery and half healthy individuals — to see if strength differences between legs persist even after standard rehab. By measuring jump height and leg force on a special platform, the goal is to improve return-to-sport decisions and reduce the chance of re-injury.
