New heart valve procedure could replace Open-Heart surgery for leaky valve patients

Summary
This study tests a new, less invasive way to replace a leaky aortic heart valve (aortic regurgitation) using a device called the JenaValve Trilogy system. It will compare this approach to standard open-heart surgery in about 1,016 people. The main goals are to see if the new method is as safe and effective as surgery at preventing death, stroke, and the need for repeat hospital stays over one year.
