Can a jaw tracker replace MRI for TMJ diagnosis?

NCT ID NCT07486609

First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study checks how well a jaw motion analyzer (JMA) can diagnose temporomandibular disorders (TMD) compared to standard methods like MRI and clinical exams. About 29 adults with chronic face pain will have their jaw movements measured with the JMA and then undergo standard testing. The goal is to see if the JMA is accurate enough to be a simpler, faster diagnostic tool.
