Jail training aims to curb opioid deaths with medication access

Summary
This study tests a training program called Project ECHO to help rural jails start or increase use of medications (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone) for opioid use disorder. Staff from 40 jails will attend online sessions with experts and peers over 18 months. Researchers will measure changes in medication prescriptions and staff burnout to see if the program works.
