First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding itraconazole, a common antifungal medication, to standard chemotherapy and radiation can improve outcomes for people with esophageal cancer. About 78 participants with resectable tumors will receive itraconazole before surgery. The goal is to see if this combination leads to a higher rate of complete tumor disappearance at the time of surgery.
