Cuff trick boosts basketball recovery?
NCT ID NCT07604948
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a technique called ischemic preconditioning (using a blood pressure cuff to briefly stop blood flow to the legs) can help basketball players regain leg power and reduce fatigue after games. Thirty-four male college basketball players will receive either the real treatment or a fake one twice a week for six weeks. Researchers will measure jump height, sprint speed, and muscle recovery to see if this simple method improves post-match recovery.
