NCT ID NCT07239219

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests if a special rinse called Irrisept can prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs) when a urinary catheter is removed. About 300 adults will get either Irrisept or a saltwater rinse before the catheter comes out. The goal is to see if Irrisept reduces infections without using antibiotics, which could lead to safer catheter removal.
