NCT ID NCT05340465
Summary
This study is testing a combination treatment for very premature babies to see if it can safely reduce their need for blood transfusions and improve their iron levels and brain development. It will compare two forms of intravenous (IV) iron given with a drug called darbepoetin against the standard oral iron supplements. The researchers will follow the babies' health and development for up to two years.
