Could low iron be causing dangerous heart rhythms?

NCT ID NCT07277140

Summary

This study aims to understand if having low iron levels, with or without anemia, increases the risk of irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias) in people hospitalized for heart failure. Researchers will enroll 300 adult patients and compare their iron status with their heart rhythm data from ECGs taken during their hospital stay. The goal is to see if checking iron levels should become a standard part of assessing heart failure patients to better identify those at higher risk.
