First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looks at how living at high altitudes affects iron levels in the body. Iron is important for carrying oxygen in the blood, and high altitudes may change how much iron you absorb and lose. Researchers will give 120 healthy adults a special iron tracer and track it over a year to learn more. The goal is to create better iron recommendations for people living at high altitudes.
