First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested if doing wall squats (a type of isometric exercise) can help lower blood pressure in people with hypertension. Fifty adults who were not very active were randomly assigned to either a wall squat program or a stretching routine for 24 weeks. The main goal was to see how easy it was to recruit participants, and the study also measured blood pressure changes.
