New pill targets Cancer's genetic weakness

NCT ID NCT06400251

Summary

This trial is testing whether a pill called ipatasertib can help control advanced cancers that have stopped responding to other treatments and have a specific genetic change called an AKT mutation. About 35 patients with various advanced cancers, including solid tumors, lymphoma, and myeloma, will take the pill daily. The main goal is to see if the treatment shrinks tumors and how long patients live without their cancer getting worse.
