Heat and immune boost: new combo tackles Hard-to-Treat cancers
NCT ID NCT03993678
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This trial tested a two-step treatment for people with advanced solid tumors that no longer respond to standard therapies. First, a laser heats and destroys part of the tumor. Then, a drug called IP-001 is injected directly into the treated area to help the immune system recognize and attack remaining cancer cells throughout the body. The study enrolled 28 adults with various cancers, including melanoma and soft tissue sarcoma, to check safety and early signs of effectiveness.
