Summary

This study tests a new drug called INV-8989 in people with advanced solid tumors that have a specific genetic change called KRAS G12D. The trial has two phases: the first finds the safest dose, and the second checks how well the drug shrinks tumors. About 178 adults with cancers like pancreatic, lung, or colorectal cancer will take part.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could lead to a new treatment option for people with advanced cancers that have a specific KRAS G12D mutation.

What could go wrong

This is an early-phase trial (Phase 1/2) with a small number of participants, so the drug may not prove effective or safe enough for wider use. Side effects are unknown and will be closely monitored.
