NCT ID NCT07481513

First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether intermittent fasting (the 16/8 method, where you eat only during an 8-hour window each day) can improve the mental health of women going through perimenopause. About 140 women aged 45-55 will be randomly assigned to either follow this eating pattern or not. Researchers will measure changes in depression and anxiety symptoms after 3 months to see if fasting helps.
