First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested a simple diet called time-restricted eating (TRE), where people eat only during a 6-8 hour window each day, against the standard daily calorie restriction diet. The goal was to see if TRE helps adults with type 1 diabetes and obesity lose weight and improve blood sugar control. Thirty-two participants were followed to compare changes in weight and glucose levels. The approach is designed to be easier to follow than counting calories every day.
