First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looked at whether intermittent fasting (eating only during certain hours) can reduce disease severity and improve quality of life for people with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Sixty overweight adults were randomly assigned to either follow an intermittent fasting plan or eat their usual diet for 12 weeks, then were monitored for another 12 weeks. Researchers measured skin and joint symptoms, weight changes, and quality of life to see if fasting made a difference.
