This study tests whether the drug interferon-α can lower the chance of cancer returning in people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) who have a TP53 gene mutation. Participants must have had a stem cell transplant and show no signs of cancer two months later. The trial will enroll 100 people and track relapse rates over time.
