First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests a procedure called intentional replantation for single-rooted teeth that are considered hopeless due to advanced gum disease. Researchers will pull the tooth, treat it outside the mouth, and put it back in the socket. They will track bone healing, pain, and tooth movement over 9 months in 45 adults aged 18-70. The goal is to see if this approach can control the disease and save the tooth.
