First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a stronger medication earlier helps people with schizophrenia, major depression, or bipolar depression whose first treatment didn't work. About 1,254 adults will receive either standard second-line treatment or an early intensified third-line treatment. The goal is to see if this approach reduces symptoms faster and prevents ineffective treatment trials.
