Summary
This study aims to learn how much insulin the body actually needs to keep blood sugar normal. Ten adults with obesity and high insulin levels will take a drug called diazoxide for eight days to temporarily stop insulin production. Researchers will measure their fasting blood sugar and insulin levels daily to better understand insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia.
