Simple breathing training may ease fibromyalgia pain and fatigue
NCT ID NCT07261696
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a simple breathing exercise, called inspiratory muscle training, can improve the body's stress response and reduce symptoms like pain, fatigue, and sleep problems in women with fibromyalgia. Fifty-one women will be randomly assigned to real training, a sham version, or no training for six weeks. Researchers will measure heart rate variability and use questionnaires to track changes.
