Can better sleep ease arthritis pain? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT05387473

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a specific talk therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) to standard knee arthritis care improves outcomes more than standard care alone. It involves 128 adults aged 45+ who have both knee osteoarthritis and chronic insomnia. The main goal is to see if this combined approach leads to better pain relief, function, and quality of life after six months.
