First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether inhaling isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) can reduce nausea and vomiting in children visiting the emergency room. About 84 kids aged 7 and older will be randomly assigned to get either the alcohol vapor, standard anti-nausea medicine (ondansetron), or a placebo. The main goal is to see how much their nausea scores drop after 10 and 30 minutes.
