Researchers probe hidden dangers after major cancer surgery
NCT ID NCT06911658
Summary
This study aims to understand why infections are common after surgery to remove esophageal cancer and how they affect recovery. Researchers will look back at the medical records of 350 patients who had this surgery in France between 2017 and 2024. By identifying risk factors for infections like pneumonia, the study hopes to find ways to improve care and outcomes for future patients.
