Trial aims to shield blood cancer patients from dangerous infections

Summary
This study is testing whether preventive antibiotics or immunoglobulin treatments work better to stop serious infections in people with blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. It will involve about 900 participants who have not yet started on immunoglobulin therapy. The main goal is to see which approach keeps patients infection-free and out of the hospital longer over a 12-month period.
