Summary
This study looks at whether a hidden infection in the brain's lining causes chronic subdural hematoma (a type of brain bleed) to return after surgery. About 164 adults having surgery for this condition will be randomly assigned to receive antibiotics or a placebo after the operation. The goal is to see if antibiotics reduce the need for repeat surgery within six months.
