NCT ID NCT05261425

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at different types of stitches and stitching methods used to close cuts after hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder surgery. The goal was to see if any specific stitch or technique leads to less pain and better wound healing. 160 adults having upper extremity surgery took part, and their pain levels were tracked using a simple 0-to-10 scale. The results aim to give surgeons clearer guidance on the best way to close incisions.
