Hormone shot could sharpen prostate cancer scans, find hidden disease

NCT ID NCT07025369

Summary

This study is testing if a short course of hormone-blocking pills can make prostate cancer cells 'light up' more brightly on a special imaging scan. The goal is to help doctors see smaller or hidden areas of cancer that have spread, particularly to lymph nodes, in men with high-risk prostate cancer. Participants will take the pills for 5, 10, or 15 days and have two scans to compare the results before surgery.
