Dental implant breakthrough: which surgery fights infection better?
NCT ID NCT07550127
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at two standard surgeries for peri-implantitis, a gum infection around dental implants. About 44 adults will get either resective surgery with implantoplasty (smoothing the implant) or with simple cleaning. Researchers will measure inflammation in blood, gum tissue, and implant fluid before and after surgery to see which approach works better.
