Summary
This study tested whether using a patient's own extracted tooth as a bone graft (AMDG) works better than a synthetic material (β-TCP) or no graft at all for preserving the jawbone after tooth removal. Twenty-two adults who needed a maxillary premolar pulled received one of the three treatments, then got a dental implant six months later with a crown placed within two days. The researchers measured bone changes, implant stability, and gum health over two years to see which approach gave the best foundation for the implant.
